Osseo Nordic Fall Fest is almost here! Join us in Downtown Osseo on Saturday, September 26 from 10 AM–4 PM for a FREE day filled with live entertainment, Norwegian traditions, food, shopping, kids’ games & activities and plenty of reasons to explore our community.
Since our last Fall Fest update, even more businesses, organizations and activities have joined the fun. Here’s a look at what you can expect!
🎶 A Full Day of Entertainment
There will be something happening throughout the day, so come early and stay awhile!
10 AM–1 PM — Paint Me First Professional Face Painting
10:30 AM–12:30 PM — Norwegian Bachelor Farmers
Kyle and Dave will kick off the live music at the Main Tent with their fun mix of Scandinavian music, storytelling and humor.
1–2 PM — Stoughton Norwegian Dancers
One of our featured attractions! Watch these talented high school dancers bring Scandinavian folk culture to Main Street with traditional dances and authentic Norwegian bunads.
2–4 PM — Caleb Horne
Enjoy an afternoon of live music at the Main Tent, including crowd favorites and some special Norsk songs planned just for Fall Fest.
2:30–3:30 PM — Tom Pease Children’s Show
Head to the Garber Bandshell for an energetic children’s show filled with music, movement, laughter and audience participation.
🚜 NEW: Take a FREE History Hay Ride!
One of our newest additions this year is a FREE History Hay Ride through Osseo! Rides will depart every 45 minutes from in front of the Osseo Community Center. Along the way, learn a little more about Osseo and the stories behind our community.
The History Hay Ride is provided by R & L Wagoneers and co-hosted by the Osseo Historical Society.
While you’re exploring Osseo’s history, be sure to stop inside City Hall from 10 AM–4 PM to visit the Historical Society’s display, hear more stories and see pieces of local history.
🦙 Meet the Alpacas!
Justorian Alpacas will be bringing some very special visitors to Central Park! Stop by the Central Park Picnic Shelter from 10 AM–1 PM to see the alpacas, and while you’re downtown, be sure to visit Justorian Alpacas’ local store too.
🎃 Kids Can Stay Busy ALL Day
This is definitely an event where the kids will have plenty to do.

Local businesses and organizations are helping fill Main Street with activities, so make sure you explore the entire festival area.
Don’t Miss the Norwegian Bake Sale!
Students from Osseo-Fairchild Elementary School are preparing a huge assortment of Norwegian treats for this year’s bake sale outside the Community Center. Look for traditional favorites including skolebrød, krumkake, sandbakkels, fattigman, Berlinerkranser, cardamom knots, pepperkaker and more. The bake sale runs 10 AM–4 PM, so stop by, try something new and support our local students!

There will be plenty of food and treats throughout Fall Fest.

10 AM–4 PM — The Osseo Nickel Caramel Apple Bar – the Community Center
11 AM–2 PM — Osseo Lions Club Walking Tacos – the Community Center
2–4 PM — Dove Healthcare Lefse –the Community Center
Plus, look for additional food vendors and plenty of great places to eat throughout Downtown Osseo. The current Chamber event listing also includes additional food trucks, booths, drinks and treats throughout the event.
🛍️ Don’t Forget to Explore Downtown!
Nordic Fall Fest isn’t only about what’s happening in the street. Our goal is to bring people throughout Downtown Osseo and showcase the businesses that are here all year long. As you make your way through Fall Fest, go inside the stores, grab something to eat, shop, and watch for Fall Fest specials, games, giveaways and activities at local businesses.
We’re starting to announce individual business specials now, including ½-price appetizers at Burly N Bucks during Fall Fest, with more downtown business spotlights coming soon!

🎨 Shop the Arts & Crafts Show
Take some time to browse the Arts & Crafts Show from 10 AM–4 PM in Central Park and shop from local and regional makers while you’re here. Between the craft vendors and Osseo’s downtown shops, Fall Fest is a great opportunity to do a little shopping while supporting small businesses.

That’s really what this year’s Nordic Fall Fest is about.
Come downtown for the Norwegian Dancers. Stay for lunch. Take the kids on a hay ride. Listen to live music. Visit the alpacas. Play some games. Grab a caramel apple. Walk through the shops. Try a Norwegian treat. Stop into a local restaurant. And see what you discover along the way.
